This site is dedicated to all things gardening, focusing on the innovative and sustainable practice of hugelkultur.

My name is Kenneth, and I live in Norway where I have a lot of rain. I am in USDA zone 7. While I may not have formal training as a gardener, I am passionate about growing my own food and fostering a connection to the earth through sustainable practices. I discovered hugelkultur and it completely changed my approach to gardening. No more tedious weeding, and a greater yield and biodiversity in my garden beds. I believe that the practice of hugelkultur is particularly well suited to my climate, with its emphasis on using woody debris to retain moisture when it actually doesn’t rain and improve soil health.
